arete Australia has been appointed as the builder for the new Hume Tech School, located at Kangan Institute’s Broadmeadows campus.
Set to become a state-of-the-art hub for innovation and learning, the Hume Tech School will deliver hands-on, high-tech STEM education for students in Melbourne’s north. It will serve secondary students from more than 20 partner schools across the region, offering industry-aligned programs focused on science, technology, engineering and maths.
The design reflects a bold vision for future learning environments, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability, creativity and connection with local industry. It will provide spaces where students can collaborate, design, test and prototype real-world solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
The Hume Tech School is part of a Victorian Government initiative to transform the way students engage with STEM. These schools are not traditional schools, but high-tech innovation centres hosted by TAFEs and shared with local secondary schools. They aim to bridge the gap between education and the workplace by helping students build job-ready skills for the future economy.
arete Australia is proud to be contributing to a project that supports young people to thrive as innovators, critical thinkers and future leaders in their communities.
