Diarmuid is Joint General Manager of arete Australia and brings more than 25 years’ experience across fitout, refurbishment and construction.
A qualified Quantity Surveyor, Diarmuid has worked across construction management, site supervision, quantity surveying and estimating, giving him a strong understanding of projects from pre-construction through to delivery.
As Joint General Manager, Diarmuid leads arete’s pre-construction function and works closely with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure projects are well considered from the outset. His experience across estimating, procurement, programming, methodology and buildability allows potential challenges to be identified early and practical solutions developed before construction begins.
Diarmuid takes a highly collaborative approach to projects, establishing strong communication with clients and key stakeholders while exploring opportunities for value management, cost efficiencies and effective procurement strategies.
His early involvement helps create a clear pathway from tender through to construction, ensuring a smooth transition into delivery and providing project teams with the information, planning and direction needed to achieve successful outcomes.
Diarmuid holds a Bachelor of Science (Construction Economics) and Science Honours (Quantity Surveying) from Cork Institute of Technology.
