Jonathan ‘Jange’ Angelopoulos is Head of New Business, bringing more than 15 years’ experience across estimating, pre-construction, tendering and client engagement.

Jonathan began his career in estimating in 2009 and joined Kane Constructions in 2013, progressing to Senior Estimator before moving into new business leadership. His strong technical and commercial background gives him a deep understanding of what drives successful project outcomes from the earliest stages.

As Head of New Business, Jonathan plays a key role in shaping arete’s growth strategy, building and maintaining strong relationships across the property and construction industry, and identifying opportunities that align with the business and its clients.

He works closely with clients and consultants throughout the front end of projects, bringing practical insight across budgets, cost planning, value management, buildability and feasibility. His approach is grounded in understanding each client’s objectives, bringing the right people together and developing long-term partnerships that extend beyond a single project.

Jonathan’s combination of industry knowledge, commercial thinking and strong relationships makes him an important part of arete’s Executive Team and the continued growth of the business.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Planning and Design & a Bachelor of Property and Construction from The University of Melbourne.
