arete Australia has completed the new Hume Tech School at Kangan Institute’s Broadmeadows campus, delivering a purpose-built facility that provides secondary students across Melbourne’s north with access to immersive, hands-on STEM learning.
The project included construction of the new Tech School together with associated landscaping, external works, car park, roadway and infrastructure upgrades across the Broadmeadows campus.
Designed as a flexible, technology-rich learning environment, the facility incorporates specialist and adaptable spaces supporting collaboration, presentations, fabrication and hands-on learning across science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Hume Tech School will provide more than 20,000 Victorian students with free access to industry-connected learning, including programs in renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, health technologies, robotics and automation.
The facility forms part of the Victorian Government’s Tech School initiative and will help students develop practical skills and explore pathways into emerging industries and careers.
