arete Australia was engaged by Western Health to undertake significant mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrade works at the Djerriwarrh Health (Bacchus Marsh) Hospital. The project aimed to provide a significant improvement in health services for the Western growth corridor of Melbourne.

The scope of the project included the upgrade of mechanical systems by providing a new Chiller Plant area that serves both maternity and Theatre systems. The Maternity Mechanical Systems were also upgraded to cater to the growing demand in the region. In addition, the project included electrical services work, which involved the installation of a new mains supply, a fully integrated main switchboard with a new generator, and an automatic transfer on power loss in the street. The new electrical system now serves the entire hospital.

As part of the project, a new roof was also installed over the North and West wings of the hospital. This addition would help to ensure the longevity of the building and protect it from the elements.

Overall, the project carried out by arete Australia has had a significant impact on the Bacchus Marsh Hospital and the community it serves, providing an enhanced healthcare experience for patients.
