The University of Melbourne Food Sensory & Meat Testing Facility (FSMT) is the integrated fitout of 600sqm on the ground floor level of Building 184 at the University’s Parkville Campus.

The fitout included the installation of sandwich panel Cold Rooms, Freezer Rooms, and a Commercial Kitchen. Testing facilities included briefing and group tasting rooms that can be combined through operable walls with the Sensory Laboratory. Separate meat testing, Anteroom, Dry Lab Cold and Freezer Room for the Meat Laboratory completes the overall floor plan.

The Sensory Laboratory included individual testing pods with integrated pass through hatches from servery areas for individual trials, assessments and question and answer time during testing sessions.

Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, stainless steel benches and full vinyl floors complete the PC2 equivalent standards.
