Mental health affects people across every part of the community. According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, around 1 in 5 Australians aged 16–85 experience a mental disorder in a 12-month period, representing approximately 4.3 million people.

For arete, this is a cause particularly close to home. Mental health remains an important focus within the construction industry, reinforcing the need for greater awareness, open conversation and continued investment in research.

Through our support of One in Five, we are helping fund targeted research with the potential to improve the lives of people affected by mental illness.
