arete Australia is delivering the Indoor Sport and Event Complex at Brighton Grammar School, providing a dedicated facility that will support a broad range of indoor sporting and school events for students from ELC to Year 12.

The project follows an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, with arete working collaboratively with Brighton Grammar School and the project team to support the progression of design ahead of main works.

Located across existing school grounds and adjacent Brighton Grammar School-owned properties on Young Street, the scope includes demolition of two existing dwellings and construction of the new facility.

The Indoor Sport and Event Complex will comprise two basketball courts, along with offices, amenities and support spaces, with the flexibility to accommodate a range of indoor sports and activities for students and the broader school community.

The structure incorporates a strip & pad footing foundation, precast concrete wall panels and a large-span steel roof, creating a durable and flexible environment for year-round use.

Significant groundwork has now been completed, including major soil cuts, with essential in-ground services being installed as construction progresses.

Once complete, the new facility will support increased student participation in sport and enable Brighton Grammar School to host a greater number of sporting activities and events on campus.

The Indoor Sport and Event Complex is scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2027.
