arete Australia was engaged to deliver the fitout of Austin Health’s new Mental Health Offices at 37 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg. Spanning four levels, the project created modern and purpose-built facilities that bring together clinical spaces with supportive work environments. The offices include two medical treatment rooms, therapy suites, collaboration zones, meeting rooms and open-plan workstations, as well as areas designed for team connection and staff wellbeing.
The ground floor was designed as a general office environment without clinical requirements, incorporating meeting rooms, private offices and a tearoom. Across the remaining levels, the spaces were tailored for Austin Health’s mental health services, integrating specialist facilities alongside flexible office and collaboration areas.
The works involved the complete supply and installation of internal finishes together with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and security services as per the consultant’s design. The programme was successfully compressed to meet Austin Health’s operational requirements, with the fitout delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Austin Health expressed their appreciation for the outcome, noting the quality of the final result and the way the new environment supports both staff and patient care.
